Are you tired of hearing about new fad diets? Do you think it’s wrong to completely remove good food from your diet, calling it “bad for you”? Do you wonder what you should eat to stay healthy and maintain a healthy weight? Me too.
Instead of trying to decide what cavemen ate, or attempting to drain ourselves of life-enriching carb energy, how about we try something called “seasonal” and really stick to it.
Do you change your clothes, your attitude, and your life with the seasons? Would you wear a sweater in the summer? Sandals in the snow? Hopefully not. Yet, we’ve conditioned ourselves to eat things when they aren’t in-season and that have been sitting in a warehouse for months – rapidly losing nutrients. We drink milk and consume dairy like it’s in constant season. Protein? Yeah, load me up on that stuff because naturally cows, deer, elk, chickens, pigs (and the like) are always at their fattest, richest, most nourishing weight at all times of year, right?
Are you as confused, as most of us are, about what to put in your body? I am. I really don’t know what’s better: Paleo, Mediterranean, Keto, Atkins, low-carb, high-carb, etc. Quite honestly, I’m tired of the nonsense. I’m tired of being fooled by marketing and “doctors” telling me that I should and shouldn’t eat certain food that is natural to the world (wheat, I’m looking at you, kid). I’m sick of said “doctors” and “experts” saying: “Yes, you need raspberry ketones to help you lose weight.” I could go on and on with the expert nonsense a.k.a: marketing. Give me your money. Buy this stuff that REALLY doesn’t do what it claims unless you (read the fine print): eat a nutritious, healthy diet AND exercise. Duh. I say: No. No. No! Enough is enough.
What do we really need to do to lose weight? We need to be healthier. We need to cut the crap from what we ingest. We need to move our bods! I truly believe that. That is the reason I’m creating this blog. We need to go back to basics. We need to feed our body with that it REALLY needs: nutrition. That significant thing right there will make our lives easier.
